Boss Watt: солнечный генератор с розеткой

A lot of work still needs to be done if we are to use solar energy, the most reliable source of renewable energy, to its full potential. Existing solar generators are either too large to be applicable for routine use, too small to offer satisfactory use, or too expensive to consider them worth the investment. Moreover, there’s the problem of storage too. How does one store enough energy to last through the night and cloudy days? Boss Watt addresses these issues with their unique line of portable, affordable, and long-lasting solar generators and power packs.

Efficient, powerful solar generator

The Boss Watt solar generators make use of the latest Maxeon III solar technology with an impressive 23% conversion efficiency. The max power point tracking technology on the power pack also ensures that every last drop of energy from the Sun is captured. When you combine this with the 100 Watt power output, you get a high-performance solar generator that’s capable of going all the way. The generator comes with a USB C port for convenient charging of mobile devices, a 12V DC Barrel Socket for off-grid equipment, and a regular 120V AC outlet that allows you to plug everything else. It really is the complete package.

A portable solar generator unlike any you’ve ever seen

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a solar generator that is as efficient as Boss Watt and at the same time as portable. The solar generator is foldable. When folded, it’s no more than the size of a regular textbook.

The company says that their lithium power pack is TSA approved, and they have had no issue taking Boss Watt on domestic flights around the USA – “If you need to travel with our product on a plane, just remove the power pack from the solar panel and load it on it’s own tray for the scanner.”

The generator comes with a kickstand support, which makes it easy to ensure that the panels are always facing the Sun. With a total weight of just 2.8kg, you really have nothing to worry about when it comes to the portability.

What can Boss Watt power?

With its 100W power pack, the solar generator can power a wide range of small devices. There is a UPS mode that enables you to power your appliances while charging the power pack. At full charge, the battery can charge an average of

  • 8 smartphones
  • 6 DSLR Cameras
  • 5 Drones
  • 3 Tablets
  • 2 Laptops

It’s also useful for small appliances such as radios, speakers, displays, desk fans, tool chargers, etc. Furthermore, there is a built-in LED light that’s capable of providing illumination for your routine needs. For other purposes, you can connect a suitable LED light to Boss Watt’s power outlet. The device is not recommended for use with more demanding appliances such as large electronics, heaters, air conditioners, etc.

What’s the charging time like?

Boss Watt’s power pack can be fully charged within 2.5 hours to 8 hours, depending on weather conditions. It goes without saying that the device would charge faster on a sunny day and charging would be much slower on a cloudy day. Moving the generator every hour to align with the movement of the sun also helps to reduce the charge time. The power pack can also be charged through its USB inlet.
