Contactless measurement
TEMPMi accurately scans and measures body temperature with a simple, no-contact gesture. Using a thermopile and infrared sensor, TEMPMi can measure someone’s temperature within an accuracy of ± 0.5°F / 0.3°C from a distance of 0.4 to 1.6 inches.
It measures more than human temperatures
The TEMPMi thermometer can measure the temperature of liquids and food, as well as body temperatures. Users can find out how hot their drinks and food are by hovering the TEMPMi thermometer over the surfaces of their food and beverages.
Track temperatures on an app
Users can track and record their temperature data with a user-friendly mobile application. This app allows users to set upper limits within the app to ensure their body is within the temperature range that they deem appropriate. Temperatures can be checked anytime within the app and will track body temperatures and the temperatures of objects.
It never goes dark
On the TEMPMi, users will notice a strip of light down the side of the unit. This light is sourced from the tritium on the base of the thermometer. This allows users to quickly and easily locate their TEMPMi in the dark, as the self-illuminating substance can glow continuously for years without an energy source.
The TEMPMi is portable
The creators of TEMPMi compare its size to that of a standard key. It also comes equipped with a keychain loop to allow the user to attach it to their backpacks, keychains, or zipper pulls. This is a beneficial feature as the TEMPMi is relatively small and very easy to lose.
It is easy to use
TEMPMi works by plugging into the user’s mobile phone. It is compatible with both Android and iOS devices and allows purchasers to choose a USB-C or Lightning connection port. Once the device is connected to a phone or tablet, it can be used to check and record temperatures.

The TEMPMi thermometer weighs 0.28 ounces, and has the following dimensions: 2.17 x 0.59 x 0.59 inches. It measures body temperatures between 89.6 and 107.6 degrees Fahrenheit and surface temperatures of -4 to 356 degrees Fahrenheit. It comes in two colors, black and white, and the company is looking to add a third color, grey, to the selection.

TEMPMi is currently undergoing fundraising on their Kickstarter campaign page. As of this writing, they have raised over $US68,000. Those wanting a TEMPMi of their own can make a pledge on the campaign page. Pricing starts at about $40, and the company expects to start shipping units in July 2021.
