Located in IndiaтАЩs high technology capital, we are in close proximity to some of the leading corporate houses in the country, ranging from information technology to consumer product companies, giving us the added advantage of integrating classroom knowledge with practical experience.
Our degree granting programmes comprise the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), the Master of Management Studies (Public Policy), the Master of Business Administration тАУ one-year fulltime, the Master of Business Administration тАУ two years (weekend), the Master of Business Administration тАУ two years fulltime, and the┬аMaster of Business Administration (Business Analytics) тАУ two years fulltime.┬а
We offer the NS Ramaswamy Pre-doctoral (NSR Pre-doc) Fellowship, as a Certificate programme, with the aim to increase social diversity of management academia in India.
Along with 11 disciplinary areas, we have ten centres of excellence that offer courses and conduct research on interesting questions facing various sectors of industry.
We have key partnerships and collaborations with Goldman Sachs for women entrepreneurship, with Michael and Susan Dell Foundation for incubation of non-profits, and with NITI Aayog for scaling up of new ventures.
We are committed to make deep social impact using technology-enabled education. Towards this end, we offer Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). We are the first management school in India to offer MOOCs on the edX platform. We are also the coordinating institute for management education for SWAYAM, GoIтАЩs online education platform.
We have taken several steps to meet the vision set for IIMB. These include hiring high quality faculty, enhancing the quality of research, emphasizing internationalization, expanding our activities in the field of entrepreneurship, in both research and mentoring, scaling up in terms of student intake in all the programmes, deepening our engagement with the alumni, improving infrastructure, and improving administration and governance.
We have been accredited by the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) for period of five years in 2016. EQUIS is a global school accreditation system run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) that specializes in higher education institutions of management and business administration.The five-year accreditation, highest that EQUIS confers, is a testimony to the fact that the evaluating team was confident about our ability to sustain efforts undertaken to achieve excellent standards in education, internationalization and research.┬а
We have a vibrant Student Exchange Programme with several partner universities across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.
We have a deep engagement with the international network, Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), which includes 32 eminent business schools around the world.

In keeping with this vision, since its inception in 1973, IIMB has distinguished itself by its excellent academic programmes, executive education, research across management and related disciplines, support for entrepreneurs and contributions to public policy. Our 12,000+ alumni who received degrees (or equivalent qualifications) from IIMB are making significant contributions across sectors and across the world as are the thousands of professionals who have attended our executive education programmes.
IIMB has been an innovator in many respects. We have a complete bouquet of degree offerings in Management. Our new MBA programme in Business Analytics is specially designed to combine the best of management and data analytics. Our incubator, run under the aegis of the NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), has a unique positioning in helping hundreds of qualified individuals start their first venture. We are the national leader in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) with more than 40 courses in management offered on the edX, Swayam and IIMBx platforms. We follow a tenure track system to attract the best-qualified research-oriented faculty.
While our faculty are outstanding scholars in their respective disciplines with publications in leading academic journals, they are also inspiring teachers, impactful consultants, award-winning case writers, and renowned corporate and policy advisers. Many of them have been on the statutory and advisory boards of leading companies, start-ups, non-profits and educational institutions. Central and State governments in India, and international organizations have benefited from their expertise in formulating and reviewing public policy. Recent contributions have included our faculty colleagues being part of the Kotak Committee on Corporate Governance (2017) and the Justice Srikrishna Committee that drafted a Data Protection legislation for India (2017-18).┬а
Reflecting these strengths, we are consistently ranked the #1 or #2 Management School / MBA programme in India. It is a matter of pride that we figure in the top international rankings as well. For example, IIMBтАЩs One Year EPGP is ranked #27 in the┬аFinancial Times┬аGlobal MBA rankings 2020, the best rank awarded to an MBA programme from India.
