Il veicolo elettrico Triggo riduce la larghezza della carreggiata per sfuggire al traffico

Over the past decades, there have been some radical vehicle designs that challenge everything we thought we knew about vehicles. These designs are mostly fueled by the yearning for environmentally friendly and traffic-free commuting, especially in urban centers. As far as radical designs go, Triggo Electric Vehicle might just be the most intriguing of them all. Believe us when we tell you it’s unlike anything we have seen, and if it lives up to the manufacturer’s hype, it could end up being the game-changer for many urban dwellers.

Design and features
On casual inspection, Triggo EV looks a like a micro car with its four wheels and sitting space for two. However, the Triggo magic comes up when you’re stuck in traffic or about to park. The vehicle’s variable chassis geometry allows it to retract its front wheels, thereby reducing its width. With the reduced width, the car occupies much less space, and the driver can split lanes like a motorcycle.

Micro in every sense
Triggo is already small enough as a car. But as explained earlier, it’s capable of becoming even smaller. When switched to the motorcycle configuration, Triggo has a maximum width of 33.8-inches and an 11.4-foot turning radius. Still, it can attain a top speed of 15.5 mph in this mode, comparable to most electric bikes out there. According to the manufacturers, Triggo EV can automatically lean into corners because it has a regular motorbikes’ riding dynamics.

Drive like a regular car
When out of the motorcycle mode, Triggo widens its front track, extending up to 58.2 inches. This configuration allows users to drive Triggo as aggressively as they would a regular car. The manufacturers claim that Triggo can attain a top speed of 56 mph in this mode.

15kw output and replaceable battery
Triggo EV comes with two 10kW electric motors. However, the system power has been capped at 15kW in a bid to conform to the L7E class specifications. The vehicle also has a replaceable 8kWh battery pack with a driving range of around 62 miles, depending on the driving conditions. Triggo’s rapid battery change system will significantly reduce charging downtime, plus the easy removability ensures drivers can always change their battery instead of waiting for the car to charge.

Perfect for car-sharing systems
According to Triggo’s manufacturers, the vehicle won’t be available for personal purchase immediately after launching. They are currently looking at the vehicle sharing space because they believe Triggo solves the problem of availability and presence of vehicles where users actually need them.

Pricing info
As mentioned earlier, the manufacturers do not plan to roll our Triggo Electric Vehicle for personal purchase, yet. Even though the vehicle is yet to be launched, the plan is to engage Triggo as a mainstay in the Car sharing space before exploring personal mobility.
